Frequently asked questions

What is a good GPA?

On a 4.0 scale, 3.5 and above is generally considered strong, 3.0 is a solid B average, and many colleges and employers look for at least 2.5–3.0. Requirements vary widely by school and program.

How do I raise my GPA fastest?

Credits weight the average, so strong grades in high-credit courses move your GPA the most. Retaking a failed course, where your school replaces the grade, can also help significantly.
